Mepivacaine hydrochloride CAS 1722-62-9
It is an organic compound used as a local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic drug. White crystalline powder, soluble in water and ethanol. It is the active ingredient of medicaine, mexocaine and mexocaine in this product.
There are two main applications of trimecaine hydrochloride. The first is local anesthesia (local, osmotic, local mucosa and inhalation, spinal cord and vein). In mixtures with, the concentrations range from 0.4 to 4%, in some cases (e.g., in dentistry). Another area is the prevention and treatment of myocardial infarction and arrhythmias in cardiac surgery. It is also used to prevent sympathetic responses during tracheal intubation.
